If you look at the last few months, there have been very few articles in the last few weeks, especially as I still have to finish LOST and WESTWORLD, at least as far as writing articles is concerned.

Of course, there’s a reason why I’ve written so little, because I simply overdid it before. I started too many series at the same time, bought too many at the same time and then just put them on my shelf – in short, it was all just too much. (Yes, I tend to be extremely fixated!)

For this reason, I’m also toying with the idea of structuring my articles a little differently, which I’ve already started to do to some extent (fewer articles per season and corresponding markings for better categorization).

In retrospect, it has also become clear that although I have a lot to write about some seasons and series, the question arises whether I should actually write so much. This will be difficult to reconcile with my urge to write, but I will try to fit some series into an article that won’t be too long. But I’m also thinking about whether I should just write one article per series and if I think of anything else or have any additions, I’ll just add another one.

This approach is also due to the fact that I spend too long on a series, which means I lose the fun of it and then find it increasingly difficult to write about it. A current example of this is LOST, because I finished the series and really enjoyed the rewatch, but I find it very difficult to write about it.

Under this premise, I have to think more about how I write something and what exactly I want to include. Certainly a challenge, but not a bad one, at least I hope so.

To do justice to the title, it’s not just about a few things regarding my articles, but also a little about the series I’ve been devouring over the last few weeks.

The Big Bang Theorie (TBBT)

After I tried to watch TBBT all the way through again last year, I had to throw in the towel after just a few seasons because it just wasn’t working anymore. I’m not sure what annoyed me more, that the show made me so angry, or that I just didn’t manage to finish it.

Now, about three weeks ago, I made another attempt and started with a very positive feeling. Even after about halfway through, I was still in a positive mood, which only increased my confidence!

Long story short, this time I actually held out and apart from a few outbursts of anger on my part, it wasn’t that bad.

This time I also looked up why Sarah Michelle Gellar appeared in the last episode at all. The makers of TBBT are big fans of the Buffy series!

Then it occurred to me that I would have thought it would have been kind of cool if she had been in the final group picture. Not necessarily because of her, but rather to find a nice ending for Raj’s role. Because he was still a bit up in the air towards the end, and it makes me sad that he had to travel such a chaotic and sometimes nasty path and still hadn’t reached his destination.

Paradise

I’ve already written something about Paradise, but after the recent rewatch, my fascination for the series continues to grow. Especially because I’m very curious to see how it will change in the second season. Will it remain a political/crime series, or will it perhaps become a kind of survival series? Or will it even manage to reconcile everything?

I’m also pretty sure that I’ll watch the series again as soon as the second season is released. Simply because it’s so good and maybe to discover more details that will be continued in the second season.

Bodies

Bodies is an extremely intelligent, refreshingly different miniseries on Netflix. It is about a body that is found in a part of London, not only in the present, but also in different periods of the past, always in the same place and always the same body, with the same characteristics.

Once this is established, a clever game begins, which not only extends to the past and present, but also sets its sights on the future.

Not only is there a very talented acting ensemble, but the story and the way it is driven forward leaves nothing to be desired!

And just at the point when you are firmly convinced that everything has now been explained, told and shown, the series throws another two episodes at you, and it’s just as much fun again!

The Good Wife

I’m currently watching The Good Wife, I’m at the end of the fourth season, and I’ve seen, because I reactivated my Paramount+ subscription for Star Trek, that The Good Fight is also available there, in its entirety. So I’m well supplied on this front for the time being and as there are no signs of fatigue, that should be my program for now.

In my eyes, The Good Wife is a very good series, even if there are one or two points of criticism that make me question my common sense time and again. It’s often about forgiveness, what is reasonable for a person and when they should move on. In the series, this construct is again forced into a metaphorical rubber band, which is often put to the test.

If I remember correctly, however, this ends in a very pleasant way at the end, or rather a long overdue conclusion is drawn.

However, for the reasons mentioned above, I will not be writing an article for The Good Wife, or writing together with the series. Maybe a one-shot, but I don’t know yet.
